IBM SAN and NAS Distributed Administrator in Wroclaw, Poland

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for SAN and NAS Distributed Administrator to join our team. In this role you will be part of a team that is responsible for maintaining one of the largest IT infrastructures for global financial institution. As client often consults technologies to be needed in the future you will have a real impact on development of this infrastructure.

You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, propose improvements, cooperate directly with the customer and have direct impact on service quality and customer satisfaction.

This job ad is for IBM CIC in Wrocław, but work can be done remotely from any place in Poland

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Management of SAN arrays (IBM SVC, Huawei OceanStore), SAN switches (Brocade) and NAS devices (Netapp clusters)

  • Troubleshooting of issues and incidents in storage environment, often in cooperation with other teams and devices vendors

  • Storage provisioning including both SAN environment (LUNs, FC zoning) and NAS environment (NFS, CIFS shares)

  • Analyze and resolve of performance issues

  • Planning and maintaining firmware upgrade and/or patching of storage devices

  • Disaster Recovery tests preparation and participation in regards to storage environment

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Advanced knowledge of SAN/NAS storage environment (i.e. provisioning, configuration, troubleshooting, performance analysis, devices upgrades) with focus on below:

  • Administration of IBM SVC and/or Huawei OceanStor arrays.

  • Administration of Netapp cDOT clusters.

  • Administration of Brocade SAN switches

  • Experience in Disaster Recovery tests

  • Experience in data migration projects

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in Administration of IBM Storwize/FlashSystem/DS/SVC and advanced SAN concepts

  • Knowledge of IBM i technology
