Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Systems Storage is looking for a Software Client Architect Manager to join our Team. In this role you will lead a technology transformation team for IBM Systems Storage Software Architecture and will have to manage this multi-state team of technical architects in new and named business territories. The Storage Software Client Architect Manager is the trusted technical advisor for their client and their sales teams. SCAs or Software Client Architect’s help clients envision the desired business outcomes that can be achieved through digital reinvention and realized through IBM’s strategic imperatives and partnership. For IBM’s most strategic accounts, the SCA has overall technical account leadership responsibilities. They design solutions that leverage the capabilities of the IBM software portfolio to solve the client’s business problems and drive software sales revenue. You will bring an agile approach and can break complex problems into simple solutions. You can effectively articulate technology architectures to business leaders. You enjoy getting hands on latest technology and map to business outcomes. As a client-facing, sales professional, and people leader, you will be guided by IBM's purpose – to be essential to its clients; help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM’s proven hardware, industry leading software defined (SDSS) and integrated hybrid cloud-based storage solutions. Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
To be successful in this role you will need 6 to 10 years of professional and technical experience in the following:
Analytical, pays attention to details, and makes decision based on data analysis and facts.
Demonstrated level of personal and cross unit leadership skills; able to scale across teams in and not within management chain.
Team management and leadership experience
Proficiency articulating IBM’s Hybrid Multicloud, Modern Data Protection, and AI, Big Data, High Performance Computing strategic imperatives and their interconnective synergies with RedHat and other IBM solutions.
Synthesizes complex business requirements and breaks them down in to an agile execution plan.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally.
Identify and develop software deployment opportunities. Use innovative ways to progress opportunities and demonstrate client value. (e.g. Design Thinking, meetups, whiteboarding, prototyping, hands-on capabilities, MVP).
Owns technical account plan ensuring the deployment and utilization of IBM Storage Software.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5-years of experience in Storage software solutions & architecture
At least 4-years of business development experience, working with business partners to grow their revenue of storage software solutions.
People & Cross-Functional Team Management experience.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Deep understanding of IBM Storage Software products and/or competitive products
Competitive experience in Cloud and Storage
10 years of TEAM MANAGEMENT Experience
