IBM Senior Client Executive in Washington, District Of Columbia

Your Role and Responsibilities

Lead IBM Client Executive on Anixter/WESCO, McDonald's, Ulta & Univar. The client executive role is primarily aimed at aligning and optimizing the capabilities of IBM to the needs and opportunities of the client. The person selected would have responsibility for IBM account strategy and planning to create value for the Distribution Enterprise. Additionally, they would be responsible for IBM territory management including: opportunity identification, validation, and qualification to build and sustain the required pipeline; building trusted client relationships that matter, overall client satisfaction; and achieving IBM's business objectives (Revenue, Cloud, Signings).

This position will work as leader of a client team supporting this territory and primarily interface with the Hardware, Software, Systems, Cloud and Cognitive, IBM Global Business Services (GBS), IBM Global Technology Services (GTS) teams, and other category leaders who represents specific IBM Solutions.

The person must have demonstrated professional experience and skills in several key areas: client relationship management, communications (all types including client presentation and digital engagement), strategic and innovative thinking, sales process and opportunity development / progression, business case development and value quantification. In addition, the person should have business and technology experience and skills in the leading areas of new value creation: cloud, data and analytics,

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5 plus year in a Sales Role

  • Background selling into Distribution companies ( Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods and Travel/Transportation)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Ideally, a person would have 10+ years of experience in 1-2 of these areas.

  • Managed technology services,

  • Software portfolio rationalization and management,

  • Agile application development,

  • Business process reengineering and automation.

  • Consumer Industry Knowledge
