IBM Global Security Associate Partner – X-Force Red in Washington, District Of Columbia

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Global Security Associate Partner will be part of X-Force Red Offensive Security, IBM’s elite security testing team. The primary duties include ownership of the sales and scoping efforts for X-Force Red contracts and ensuring the successful execution of testing against client environments, device platforms, and associated network protocols. The Global Associate Partner is a management role that includes leadership duties for an assigned region. Engagements typically range from three to six weeks. It is critical that the AP have a strong technical background in penetration testing and be able to rapidly learn new technologies and processes with minimal assistance.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Extensive consulting experience

  • Excellent experience of system administration, network administration, or programming experience

  • Ability to perform penetration tests against hardware platforms, plus at least one of the following: internal networks, wireless networks, mobile applications, thick-client applications, embedded applications

  • Strong understanding of networks, firewalls, protocols, routing, and security technologies

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong understanding of networks, firewalls, protocols, routing, and security technologies

  • History of presenting at regional or major security conferences

  • History of published research, blog posts, or other publications

  • Effective English writing skills

  • Experience coordinating security testing projects with multiple consultants.
