IBM Cloud Engineer (TS/SCI with Poly) in Washington, District Of Columbia

Your Role and Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Help US Government customers to connect their cloud strategies to their business strategies.

  • Assess customer mission requirements and architect appropriate cloud-based solutions with a focus on performance, security, and high availability.

  • Guide customers on moving existing applications to the right cloud environments and migrate infrastructure, leveraging cloud and container technologies to provide flexibility and openness.

  • Help clients design and implement next-generation business automation applications while maximizing integration with existing enterprise services to reduce disruption of service.

  • Help clients integrate and manage new multi-cloud environments.

  • Develop prototypes, proof of concepts, and solutions in business/process automation, case management using modern cloud technologies

  • Learn and maintain skills in IBM and Red Hat technologies including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Cloud Paks

Key Attributes:

  • Experience working with federal government contracts, procedures, standards, and specifications.

  • Technically forward-thinking, passionate about embracing new technology and developing your skills

  • Desire to champion and implement cloud technology solutions.

  • Demonstrated Communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to lead and shape client expectations

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Lead and mentor client team members

  • Lead or participate in consulting projects that deliver customer-focused results aligned with strategic and operational goals of the Client

  • Must be local to the Washington DC area.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Active Top Secret / SCI with Full Scope or CI Polygraph Clearance

  • At least 5 plus years experience developing and integrating software solutions

  • At least 5 plus years development experience with Java, Python, JavaScript and/or C++.

  • At least 2 plus years experience installing and configuring software

  • At least 1 plus years experience implementing container technology using Docker or Podman

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Linux container orchestration using Docker Compose, Docker Swarm, and/or Kubernetes

  • Experience with Enterprise Content Management, Business/Process Automation and/or Case Management products.
