Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM is seeking Account Managers with deep knowledge and experience with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to drive consistent growth by leveraging your business development, sales, account management, and delivery skills. IBM is looking for leaders with deep knowledge of the agencies' specific business problems and mission areas. The Account Manager will report to the Lead Account Partner and will help develop and maintain trusted business relationships with existing and net-new client leaders and influence the overall success of IBM Consulting within the Federal market.

  • Key responsibilities will include - developing account strategies and tactics, client relationships, sales pipeline, and value-based positions; running pursuits and overall management of RFP responses; and expanding footprint of IBM's differentiated capabilities within OPM.The role will have the following responsibilities:

Delivery Management:

  • Manage portfolio of delivery projects to achieve specific outcomes in client satisfaction, revenue, and margin targets

  • Build and maintain executive client relationships in your delivery portfolio

Growth Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a sales pipeline focused on key offerings

  • Work collaboratively with other practice leaders to sell and propose integrated, tailored solutions

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Government C-suite and Program Executives in selling and delivering use cases and solutions leveraging the transformative power of digital, AI/ML, Cloud and UX.

Provide capture and proposal leadership and execution, including writing proposal Executive Summary, resumes, past performance and management sections.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $144,000 to $222,000 based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 10 years of experience providing professional consulting service to Federal government clients with a track record of achieving an individual sales quota of $10M annually and managing a P&L of equivalent value

  • At least 5 years' experience in driving digital strategy, transformation, and innovation for GSA, OPM and/or the Department of Labor

  • Existing relationships with key Program Executives and CXO's within GSA, OPM and/or the Department of Labor to support selling high-value engagements, nurturing client and prospect relationships, and tailoring offerings to achieve client and business goals

  • Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver value and insights-based recommendations that inform the strategic agenda of our clients; as well as practical roadmaps and plans to invest in; allocate resources; execute and manage strategic recommendations to enable clients to pivot to action; and produce tangible outcomes with measurable value.

  • Experience with capture management, solution development, proposal management, and pricing.

  • Passion to understand the applications of digital, cloud, AI and analytics, and emerging technologies and to adapt modern approaches and innovate solutions to drive positive outcomes and high value client needs

  • Ability to write clear, concise prose for a government audience

  • Sophisticated oral presentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Skills in navigating and working across the matrix of a large organization
