Your Role and Responsibilities

  • The CSR Manager is responsible for creating value to IBM by identifying and activating strategic opportunities in collaboration with universities, national government projects and not-for-profit organisations.

  • They will develop strategic collaborations with Academia to have IBM part of national innovation initiatives in areas such as AI, Quantum, Cloud and Cybersecurity, supported by EU or government funds.

  • Working with the country IBM leadership team to define priorities, the CSR Manager is responsible for establishing and managing a portfolio of strategic universities and other partners to drive growth and achieve IBM's CSR goals, tracking and reporting on the progress of programs to key stakeholders within the organization.

  • The CSR Manager is responsible to organize programs for students to strengthen the IBM brand, to make the IBM technology and Consulting services well known within the future business users and to make IBM a preferred company to work with. Programs can include lectures, workshop, hackathons, mentorships, visits at the IBM sites, and more.

  • They will nurture a community of IBM Academic Ambassadors / Volunteers that help in running the activities with universities and partners.

  • The CSR Manager understands the IBM business, its priorities, processes, product portfolio and the organization matrix to ensure that CSR contributes to the overall business goals effectively and efficiently.

  • They are familiar with the latest trends and best practices in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education and workforce development, as well as the needs and challenges faced by students, educators, and employers in this field.

  • Finally, they work with the communications team to ensure effective communication of IBM's key messages and strategies relating to CSR to internal and external audiences, and coordinate with other IBM functions including HR, Government Programs, Communications and Marketing, and Legal.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Fluency in English

  • Master's Degree (PhD is a plus), ideally in Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Capital Management, or related field

  • 5+ years of proven experience designing, developing, and curating STEM learning paths and performance initiatives for job profiles in Cloud, AI now mainly focused on WatsonX, Data Analysis, Cybersecurity, PM; Developers and IT Support job roles.

  • 7+ years of experience at IBM from different units: Consulting and Technology. In case of external candidate, equivalent experience in public or private institutions.

  • Proven experience successfully designing immersive learning and performance experiences using techniques such as simulations, role plays, practice scenarios, intensive case studies, practice environments, games, academies, etc.

  • Experience in program management, including developing project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements, priorities, and timelines and adjust implementation plans accordingly.

  • Strong analysis skills, able to derive meaningful insights from the data and to present these in a clear and actionable form to to a wide range of audiences

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders, including government, public sector clients, partners, students and team members.

  • Is able to build and manage broad stakeholder groups, including senior leadership and senior public officials, maintaining effective relationships whilst challenging when required

  • Ability to effectively plan and facilitate multi-disciplinary meetings and workgroups.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Microsoft Project.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with digital (online) learning platforms and credentials

  • Expertise in Academia education model, research eco-system and adult learning practices

  • Knowledge of the national University and Research strategy

  • Understanding of the labor market and workforce development trends and practices.

  • Good understanding of nonprofit enterprises and the underserved, disadvantaged communities we serve.

  • Process management - understands the key CSR processe
