Your Role and Responsibilities
The technical solution sales is responsible for selling IBM solution by applying broad and up-to-date technical expertise and business acumen for selling enterprise solution. His/her responsibilities includes acting as “trusted advisor” to client driving service opportunities by gathering and shaping client requirements, leading enterprise service engagement, and proposing IT solution to client.
Obtain good and accurate understandings on client’s business and IT requirement in closed collaboration with relevant IBM teams, partners and client stakeholders.
Make assessment on complexity of client requirements and the required solutions.
Develop technical solution strategy and lead technical solution team to develop the solution using latest technologies like Cloud Native Application, Hybrid Cloud, Automation and AI.
Perform and execute client-facing meeting, solution presentations, RFP response presentation, etc.
Develop and maintain client relationships as “trusted advisor” and as a “thought leader” on technical domains.
Minimum of 8- to 10-year experience in IT Industry with at least 5 years in technical presales capacity
Proven experience in selling to enterprise customers’ CxOs
Solid solution design experience in client-facing meeting, proposal writing, costing, and presentation.
Proven understanding of advanced technologies in Hybrid Cloud (including Public Cloud like AWS and Azure), Container management, DevOps approach.
Experience across systems integration, information management business analytics and architecture.
Deep experience in designing and implementing highly available and scalable Cloud solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business acumen and commercial outlook.
Ability to collaboratively sell solution in a highly matrix environment.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
10+ years of experience in IT Services industry with proven experience in large enterprise account management and a strong background with technical support/pre-sales
At least 5+years IT services company (system integration company or managed services provider) with sales experience in Strategic Outsourcing or Managed Services and system integration services is preferred
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Master and apply expert knowledge of the client's business, strategies and goals within the industry. In-depth knowledge of the client's major IT architectures, systems, information flows, operation and management and applications and their links to customers and suppliers.
In-depth working knowledge of the industry and an ability to market very complex IBM solutions, products and services that are specific to an industry. Understand the framework within which an industry operates and the underlying competitive strategies. Recruit partners, form and dissolve alliances in an industry.
