Your Role and Responsibilities
The Z Solution Architect is a technical sales architect/specialist in the IBM Technology sales team who addresses three key areas
Strategic: Technical architectural leadership in promoting Z Systems mainframe hardware and software, and IBM strategic initiatives in the architect's assigned territory
Tactical: Technical sales leadership to help close key Z Systems opportunities
Organizational: Facilitation of the technical & sales relationship between the various technical/sales constituencies, including hardware, software, services, and business partner
The Solution Architect accomplishes this mission by focusing on
Client Business Leadership - identify and consult on major customer challenges, visions, and strategies in client industry, identify opportunities, and provide Point of View (POV) on how Z Systems & IBM Strategic initiatives can help meet the customer's business objectives.
Client Relationship - Build trusted client advisor relationships.
Architecting Solution - Architect end to end solution leveraging Z Systems. Organize/facilitate workshops, TCO analysis, and drive strategic initiatives such as Digital Transformation and Modernization of mainframe in the areas of API, DevOps, data & AI, automation, security, resiliency, and Linux on Z / LinuxONE to transform the customer's mainframe into a Hybrid Cloud platform.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years experience as a solution architect or technical sales specialist on Z Systems
Experience in technical sales and direct client support
Experience working with the financial services / banking industry
Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
