Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM's Curam software solutions team, part of Watson Health is now searching for a Technical Consultants with Curam experience to join our team! We live in a moment of remarkable change and opportunity. Discover what you can make of this moment and apply now to explore this opportunity with us.

As a Technical Consultant in the Watson Health Curam team, you will support clients implement the Curam Social Management Platform(SPM). You will join a dynamic team that works with customers to meet their business objectives while embracing emerging technologies, new standards and solving complex problems. You will continue to develop expertise in the technical aspects of IBM Watson Health SPM solutions and work closely, at project sites, with clients, systems integration partners and delivery teams.

*Must be flexible to travel to client project sites.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate requirements and fit/gap workshops with client staff on technical topics and non-functional requirements

  • Create functional and technical designs as well as solution prototypes, to support SPM configurations and extensions such as workflow, rules and/or integrations.

  • Develop, code and unit test Curam extensions in a J2EE environment, using application services like Websphere or Weblogic, and DBs like Oracle and DB2.

  • Demonstrate problem solving expertise through investigation and resolution of issues such as situations where actual test results do not match expected test results.

  • Work closely with client and partner staff on matters related to the Curam SPM technical architecture and communicate effectively (both written and verbal)

  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with fellow employees, System Integration partners and clients, to promote IBM WH as a trusted partner.

  • Maintain industry standard version controls

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information technology related

  • At least 3 years’ experience in applications design/development principles in a hands on computer related role.

  • At least 1 year experience in Java /JEE/ J2EE,JDBC, SQL, XML, XSL development

  • At least 1 year of experience working with Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, REST)

  • At least 1 year of experience in modern UI/UX design and user research practices, tools, languages (e.g. CSS, JavaScript, etc.)

  • Knowledge in UML

  • Knowledge of relational databases (DB2 or Oracle) and SQL

  • Knowledge on application servers like WebSphere or WebLogic

  • Knowledgeable on multiple operating systems UNIX/NT OS

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 1 year experience with IBM WH SPM product and services

  • At least 1 year experience in the health and human services industry (Government)

  • At least 1 year experience in implementation of ERP or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) package software

  • Experience with the Eclipse Integrated Development Environment, or Eclipse based IDE products such as IBM RSA is highly desirable.

  • Experience in modern UI/UX design and user research practices, tools, languages (e.g. React.js,Angular, etc.)

  • Comfortable working within multiple delivery approach, e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, DevOps, etc.

  • Experience with Software Configuration Management / CI/CD tools
