Your Role and Responsibilities

◆◆◆◆ Position Summary, Mission ◆◆◆

We are looking for a Technical Engineer to build and maintain the IBM Z Continuous Availability and Disaster Protection Solution (GDPS).

◆◆◆ Job Description ◆◆

The position will also include the following: - Listening to customer issues and needs, and proposing appropriate solutions in collaboration with the global product development department with expertise and technical skills in IBM z software, including zOS, NetView, and GDPS solution products.

◆◆◆◆The appeal of this position ◆◆◆◆

This is a team that builds continuous availability and disaster recovery solutions for Japan's financial systems to support the stable operation of our clients' systems. You will be part of a new team and be involved in the team.

You will be able to learn not only the products you are responsible for, but also the related cutting-edge technologies and propose them to customers.

◆◆◆ Areas of responsibility (industry, product service, etc.) ◆◆◆

◆ ◆ ◆ Responsible for all IBMZ SW products (mainly zOS, GDPS, NetView)

Customer Industry: Financial Industry (Banking)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

・Ability to build interpersonal relationships and communicate with customers

・Basic knowledge not only of GDPS products but also of overall infrastructure for disaster countermeasures including zOS, NetView, TWS, etc.

・Experience in proposing and building GDPS solutions such as backup and disaster countermeasures for financial systems

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

・Japanese language skills equivalent to native Japanese speaker as communication with Japanese customers will be required either in person or remotely.

・Reading/Hearing skills to understand English technical documents and participate in training

・English communication skills (email, conference calls)
