IBM is currently seeking a Technical Sales to support the IBM Data & AI portfolio. This position is responsible for the Technical Pre-Sales of data & AI products to the ASEAN market. The role is to demonstrate to customers how they can infuse predictive, data-driven insights into their decision-making and operations. To show how the IBM platform can automate data collection and organisation, building AI applications faster, without any specialised skills.
Use technical and business acumen to understand the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape.
Collaborate with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions.
Deliver effective Proof of Concept (POC), Proof of Technology (POT), workshops, and support critical situations.
Actively engage with customers to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM's proven cognitive, AI, and cloud technology solutions.
Apply IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods and models, to ensure world-class design and delivery.
Continuously build solid presentation skills, content and a deep understanding of Data & AI technologies and how to position winning solutions.
Demonstrated level of business acumen as it applies to the customer's business.
Skilled in consultative selling, with an understanding of the customer's needs and IBM capabilities.
Commercially minded and capable of supporting end-to-end sales engagements with the ability to think, plan and act strategically.
Extensive networking and interpersonal skills in complex environments.
Self-starter with eagerness to seek and build new skills.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a Technical Sales/Solution Consultant/System Engineer role.
Minimum of 3 years of any relevant Industry Experience (Banking, Insurance, Retail, Industrial, Financial Markets, Telecommunications).
Proven demonstrated skill and experience with a breadth of Data & AI technologies including two or more of the following: RedHat OpenShift, Python, BI/Analytics tools, Data Visualization, Data Modeling, Watson AI, Machine Learning, Hadoop/Spark, Data Virtualization, RBMS/SQL, MongoDB, Postgres
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Ability to understand business problems, articulate a corresponding solution based on IBM software, build a value proposition, and establish a compelling reason to act.
5 years of experience selling and demonstrating Data & AI solutions to clients.
Implementation or Consulting in Data Lake, Data Science or Business Analytics.
Hands on technical skills, knowledge and experience with RedHat OpenShift, a plus.
Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, a plus.
Readiness to travel a minimum of 30%
