Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic CSR Program Manager to lead and execute various elements of the IBM SkillsBuild Program. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, project management excellence, program execution and a passion for social impact. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional IBM teams, the extended CSR team, and global partners to enhance the program's reach and effectiveness, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of learners and aligns with IBMs strategic imperatives.

Responsibilities include:

Program Design and Development

Ability to design and develop comprehensive, scalable, and adaptable global program elements that can be effectively executed by local implementation teams. This requires a deep understanding of the program's objectives, the needs of the target audience, and the capacities and constraints of the local teams. The program manager should be adept at conceptualizing strategies, creating detailed plans, and developing resources and tools that support local teams in achieving the desired outcomes. They should also be proficient in project management techniques to coordinate and monitor the progress of program development effectively.

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building

Recognize and understand the needs and interests of key internal and external stakeholders, including employees, community members, NGOs, and government entities. Engage in clear, empathetic, and transparent communication to foster shared understanding and alignment of social impact goals. Excel in building and strengthening relationships, establishing a foundation of trust and collaboration that supports a shared vision for sustainable impact. Use these solid relationships to create and maintain effective partnerships, driving efforts that achieve mutually beneficial social impact goals in alignment with IBM's mission.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in program management, preferably within CSR, education, or technology sectors.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale educational or CSR initiatives with a global impact.

  • Success in Communication and Relationship Building: Demonstrable success in communication and personal relationship development at all levels - ideally across geographies.

  • Learning Solutions Expertise: Familiar with the design, planning and execution of learning programs including virtual facilitated delivery, self-paced programs and experience or project-based learning.

  • Continuous Improvement: Familiar with Lean Six Sigma and/or Agile methods for managing continuous improvement across the program.

  • Passionate about technology education and committed to making a social impact.

  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.

  • Understanding of Educational (K-12, Higher Ed and Workforce Development) Systems and guiding policies.

  • Understanding the potential of EdTech and how to leverage it effectively to meet our education impact goals.

  • Demonstrate the ability to operate effectively across diverse cultural contexts and exhibit proficiency in cross-cultural communication, understanding, and respecting the nuances of different cultures.

  • Experimentative - working quickly to pilot, succeed/fail fast and scale what works.

  • Responds swiftly to emerging opportunities, strategic pivots, and corporate mandates, tailoring the experience to drive incremental impact.

  • Is passionate about people.
