Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM Offering Managers define, develop and deliver differentiated offerings that focus on winning in markets and delivering iconic user experiences. Offering Managers work across IBM and collaborate with cross-discipline teams on development, design, marketing, communications and sales to deliver the most innovative offerings to our clients.
Working with significant autonomy, the Offering Manager will lead the strategy of innovation for a specific offering or portfolio. Combining deep product knowledge and subject matter expertise with excellent prioritization and client relationship skills, this position will work among all applicable business units and departments; compile VOB, VOC and VOM research, analysis, and documentation; analyze and advocate business cases in support of new project proposals; monitor offering success metrics; and facilitate standard product development and management processes.
Effective offering management includes gathering and prioritizing user needs, defining the product vision, and leading the cross functional team to deliver winning products. An essential part of offering management is to oversee both roadmaps and channel / sales and marketing strategies to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Position success will be measured by criteria such as client satisfaction ratings, business and market success, timely delivery of innovation, product quality and personal social eminence.
Essential Job Duties
Acts as a general manager of markets and offerings
Is accountable for the overall user experience and financial success of their offerings
Leads the teams that build, market, sell, and deliver IBM solutions and offerings
Clearly understands market opportunities and user problems
Defines user experiences that are compelling and competitive
Defines user value proposition and experience roadmap; lead design of differentiated offering and customer experience
Develops end-to-end business plan for offering(s); set detailed direction and priorities across disciplines and monitor follow through
Manages the offering response to customer and market feedback
Decides on minimum viable offering and offering roadmap through iteration with Development lead
Prioritizes industries and user segments for offering
Determines marketing investment by channel
Follows OMOM, IBM and QMS deliverables
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 3 years product management preferably in health imaging
At least 3 years’ experience working within a team and cross functionally to develop product offerings
Strong presentation skills
Solid business acumen
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline, MBA or advanced degree preferred
At least 5 years product management experience, preferably in health imaging
At least 5 years of cross-functional leadership experience delivering a healthcare products / offerings
At least 5 years’ experience helping enable/drive sales through product offerings
At least 5 years of experience interacting with healthcare providers and industry partners
