As a Package Consultant at IBM, get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. You will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into our clients' business environment and achieve business results.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The SAP HANA S/4 Finance consultant should have an excellent knowledge of S/4HANA Finance solutions with a strong utilities background. The consultant is expected to provide business process guidance on SAP requirements and design across the financial functions, this will include Chart of Accounts (COA), Planning & Budgeting, Financial, Managerial and FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) Accounting & Reporting, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Employee Expenses. The consultant should be aware of the S/4HANA roadmap differences between releases and new innovations. Familiarity with new cloud offerings from SAP is a plus. The role will also require strong oral and written communication skills.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 4 years of experience in Finance and Controlling with minimum 4 end-to-end implementations from project preparation to go-live
At least 2 years of implementation or migration experience with SAP S/4HANA
At least 2 years of experience working with financial processes, accounting and regulatory reporting in US electric utilities as well as the related SAP applications.
At least 2 years of experience working with and implementing of the FERC module.
At least 1 year of experience working with cost flows and joint venture accounting.
At least 3 years of solid SAP business process knowledge and business process blue printing experience
At least 3 years of consulting experience
Experience integrating SAP with Utility specific third party solutions like PowerPlan.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Should be well aware of the S/4HANA roadmap and new innovations that are brought in in each of the S/4HANA releases.
Experience with joint venture accounting and billing.
Ability to work with a wide range of client leadership in financial and managerial accounting, regulatory, supply chain management, asset management, and customer service.
Understand cost flows from generation, transmission, distribution, and back office activities to FERC accounts and joint owner billing.
