IBM Software Engineer in Sandy Springs, Georgia

Introduction

IBM Security Intelligence products incorporate leading edge network packet inspection and analytics technology to generate actionable insights for our customers. We are looking to add a Software Engineer to a talented team of professionals in the network security organization. Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role you have a deeply rooted passion for building high quality software. You are someone who loves hard work and having fun at the same time. You are creative, innovative, and work well independently and as a team player while providing help to define, build, operate and maintain the foundation. As a Software Engineer, you will bring your A game. You will add to this already highly talented team and bring a new perspective. You will challenge our paradigms and blow us away with great new ideas. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Write high quality, scalable, readable and testable code.

  • Analyze requirements and estimate work efforts in an Agile environment.

  • Review merge requests and provide constructive feedback on changes by anyone on the team.

  • Collaborate closely with members of other teams to ensure good integration of all systems.

  • Identify, triage and resolve defects.

  • Keep current with industry trends and share new ideas with the team regularly.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

In this role you will need the 3-5 years of the following:

  • Relevant work experience with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities.

  • Experience in Software Design, Data Structures, and Algorithms.

  • Experience in Java/JEE and Python Development.

  • Experience with Linux Administration and Application Development.

  • Experience with Agile Development methodologies.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

8+ Years of relevant work experience.Experience with C++ .

TCP/IP Networking and Application Protocols.Experience with git, Jenkins Continuous Integration, and Docker.

Experience with SIEM, Firewalls, IPS, or Other Network Security Tools.
