IBM Technical Sales Product Specialist - System Automation in San Jose, California

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Technical Sales Product Specialist you will have expertise in the mainframe (z/OS) environment. In this position you will perform pre-sales tasks for demos, presentations, and estimates for migrations. The position depends on you having excellent communication skills and technical pre-sales experience.

The right candidate will have Netview Pipes programming experience and must have a strong working knowledge of System Automation's policy database (PDB). It would be beneficial if you are familiar with CICS, DB2 and IMS operational interfaces. You’ll work as a team member with internal employees, project managers, contractors and customer employees.

This Technical Sales Product Specialist position can be a remote position anywhere in the US as long as you are near an airport. The role could require up to 25% travel depending on your projects and clients.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ Years Mainframe (OS/390, z/OS) and proficient with TSO/ISPF, REXX Programming

  • 5+ Years System Automation and Netview for Z/OS experience

  • Demonstrated communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience deploying IBM System Automation

  • Basic Z/OS System Programming knowledge/skills

  • Technical pre-sales experience
