Your Role and Responsibilities
Solution Architects/Client Technical Specialists are technical consultants to clients, IBM sales teams and Business Partners. They understand the client’s business requirements, technical requirements and competitive landscape, which makes them a vital part of the Sales Team.
They provide technical sales support which may include: collaboration with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions; Proof of Concept management; development and delivery of technical education; support for critical situations; solution design; and providing answers to technical questions.
When engaged for a specific opportunity or project, they are responsible for the technical accuracy of the proposed solution. You must be self-motivated, ready to interact daily with a variety of other smart and highly motivated people, and work in a changing environment where no two days are ever the same.
Our Technical Sales Specialists deliver industry centric business solutions to clients of all sizes in the Telecommunications, Cloud Service Provider, Media & Entertainment, Computer Services Industry and Utilities markets. They work hand in hand with market focused sellers, lab services and development.

Linux or Linux on zSystems, Cloud, Telecommunications or Computer Services Sector Knowledge.
5 years' experience with direct client Support.
Knowledge of Virtualization Technologies like zVM or KVM.
Proven Verbal Communication and Presentation skills.
