Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Cloud & Cognitive Software organization is looking for an Offering Manager to support IBM Cloud Pak™ for Data a fully integrated data and AI platform that modernizes how businesses collect, organize and analyze data and infuse AI throughout their organizations.
This role is a great fit for someone proficient at navigating ambiguity, can connect the dots between different business opportunities and, how they fit within the IBM ecosystem.
An ideal candidate would be entrepreneurial, adaptable, analytical, persuasive, empathetic, tenacious and a creative problem solver who is well versed in both business and technology concepts. We are specifically looking for candidates with in-depth exposure to Cloud-native, Open source, data science and database management technologies. Technical expertise is critical to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities will include:
Innovate with established & emerging technology software, hardware, and services
Act as change agents and champion strategic initiatives, partnerships
Work collaboratively with development leaders, product architects, product designers, and key customers to appropriately package features into offering releases and ensure offering designs reflect business objectives (e.g., by creating quarterly roadmaps, monthly release plans)
Articulate market problems to the broader offering team
Develop and execute roadmaps, business models and go-to-market plans
Drive customer validation through beta programs and client meetings, confirming requirements are addressed by the delivered solution
Collaborate closely with design and engineering to ship offerings
Provide detailed direction on key technical and marketing tasks to launch an offering feature, offering, or collection of offerings in the portfolio
To be accountable for key outcome metrics, including customer satisfaction, accessibility and revenue, and profitability of assigned offering
You will employ your ability to outline competitors’ SWOT, feature differences, and market share to develop the business plan and refine strategy.
The successful candidate must have exceptional technical skills, solid business background and demonstrate relevant experience with data and AI products and/or services.

With strong analytical skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity and a strong bias for action

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 3 years product management preferably in delivering data intensive cloud-native applications
At least 3 years’ experience working within a team cross functionally to develop product offerings
Strong presentation skills
Solid business acumen
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Advanced degree in technical discipline or MBA preferred
At least 5 years product management experience, preferably with some experience in developing Intelligent Applications
At least 3 years’ experience helping enable/drive sales through product offerings
At least 2 years of experience interacting with cross industry clients and partners
