IBM Global Mail/Messaging Manager - Exchange in RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, North Carolina

You will provide global leadership to an agile squad of engineers responsible for global messaging infrastructure strategy, delivery, and support. As Messaging Manager you will be responsible for providing IBM employees worldwide with the state of the art possible messaging experience specifically for mail and calendar, planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and improving Exchange, IBM Domino and other related systems. You have experience deploying Exchange at scale in a large company.


Strong leadership & communications skills

Proven business controls, audit ready / compliance posture at both the infrastructure and application level

Lead a co-located team of highly skilled, technical experts who have global responsibility

Partner with other foundational services for the successful execution of our strategic vision, i.e., Security, Identity, Support, Services, etc.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience deploying Exchange at scale in a large company.

  • Prior technical management experience

  • Leading agile squads a plus

  • Strong leadership / engagement / interpersonal skills

  • Attract, hire & retain new thought leadership and technical talent

  • Ability to work under stress and to tight deadlines

  • Excellent knowledge of current developments and messaging strategies in the IT industry.

  • Able to operate at both tactical and strategic levels.

  • Customer focused, flexible and willing to take ownership of issues and projects.

  • Proven results delivering high quality user experiences

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Email co-existence / migration experience

  • Provide technical management / leadership in Exchange, and IBM Lotus Domino
