Your Role and Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for an Application Developer AWS & NoSQL, for a permanent role based in Perth, Western Australia.
Role and responsibilities:
The Role is responsible for the day-to-day management, support and proactive maintenance of AWS Data Analytics platform and technical environment to meet the critical business SLA's.
Performing application support role in a 24*7 environment in compliance to IT Service Management principles, adhering to SLAs, and maintaining high customer satisfaction
Planning and co-ordinating proactive maintenance activities, i.e. monitoring application and environment health, identifying potential problem areas and recommend solutions
Participate in client meetings to share ideas, present solutions and assist in clarifying queries to gain customer acceptance.
Support full life cycle application development using AWS Data Analytics solutions, abiding to the team coding standards, development processes and best practices
Work effectively individually and with team members toward customer satisfaction and success
Design, develop, and configure software systems to meet client requirements either end-to-end from analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance (including testing), to delivery and maintenance of the software product or system or for a specific phase of the lifecycle.
To ensure success in this role you will possess the following technical and professional skills:
Experience in automating, storing, and making data accessible to support business activities and initiatives
Articulate and illustrate data and technical issues effectively in a compelling way using common business language
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability and confidence to liaise with people at all levels of an organisation
Great organisation skills and the ability to multitask and manage short- and long-term priorities
Strong understanding of ETL processes and data architecture
Experience of Cloud Data Warehousing and Data Lake experience
Experience in building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
Design, build and operationalize large scale enterprise data solutions and applications using one or more of AWS data and analytics services in combination with 3rd parties - S3, EC2, RDS, Spark, EMR, DynamoDB, RedShift, Kinesis, Lambda, Glue, Quicksight, and AWS DMS
Design and build production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption within a big data architecture, using Java, Python, Scala, PySpark.
Analyse, re-architect and re-platform on-premise data warehouses to data platforms on AWS cloud using AWS or 3rd party services.
Design and implement data engineering, ingestion and curation functions on AWS cloud using AWS native or custom programming.
Perform detail assessments of current state data platforms and create an appropriate transition path to AWS cloud.
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
Certified AWS Data Specialist is desirable.
