IBM SAP Financial Services Associate Partner in NEWYORK, New York

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an SAP Associate Partner to join our team, specifically to focus on the banking and insurance industries as part of the financial services sector. As an SAP Financial Services Associate Partner, you will have an excellent knowledge of SAP portfolio solutions and new innovations in SAP and the Financial Services Industry. You will lead the SAP Financial Services Industry sales discussions with clients to clearly demonstrate the business benefits of SAP solutions, crafting and supporting the SAP implementation process. You will be aware of the SAP roadmap differences between releases and new innovations that are brought into each of the SAP releases. This role will require excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficiency in developing channel and client relationships, identifying and closing new business, developing thought leadership with content as well as a visionary outlook in SAP are required. This is a hands-on sales & delivery role in a complex environment. Responsibilities include providing advice and counsel to clients, oversight and accountability for delivery success, and client satisfaction.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the SAP sales focused plan for financial services clients

  • Lead SAP sales pursuits at new logo financial services clients and expand penetration at existing accounts

  • Support the identification, development, and closure of SAP sales efforts in support of an identified sales target

  • Provide industry guidance, strategies, and SAP best practices

  • Maintain industry references, approaches, IBM contacts and competitive analysis, in support of both general industry solutions and specific solutions

  • Build and lead internal communities of IBM financial services industry practitioners

  • Lead or contribute to the creation of IBM positions and strong POVs on specific SAP industry topics

  • Define, develop and use repeatable non-traditional consulting industry solutions incorporating other IBM technologies such as Blockchain, artificial intelligence, IoT, and Cloud where needed

  • Transfer knowledge to local IBM teams through training and side-by-side engagement work.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience and expertise selling and overseeing SAP Programs (S/4HANA, Ariba, SuccessFactors) and Projects for Financial Services Clients

  • At least 10 years of experience in managing or consulting in the banking and/or financial services field

  • At least 5 years of experience working for a management consulting company supporting the banking and financial services industry (e.g. traditional banks, Casino's, Mortgage, Securities, MSB's, etc.)

  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience on large scale SAP implementations

  • At least 5 years of experience in a prior consulting role with responsibility for and demonstrated success in business development, account management driving process optimization within the SAP portfolio

  • At least 5 years of Business development and Professional Services sales experience with SAP Financial Services

  • Track record of achieving individual sales quota of $5M+ annually

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • The ability to generate C-Level (CCO, CRO, CDO, CMO, CFO, and other Line of Business Leaders) relationships in Financial Services

  • Functional expertise in one of the areas: Finance, Procurement, HCM

  • At least 10 years of experience in selling and delivery of complex consulting projects for Tier 1 consultancy
