IBM Software Developer, Identity & Access - New York City in New York, New York

Your Role and Responsibilities

This role is located in the IBM office in New York City. There is no remote work option post covid. We are co-located in the office, but maintain a responsible consideration of health and safety practices - which includes ongoing support for an in-office/remote office balance during these unusual times.

There are no relocation funds for this role so you would need to relocate at your own expense.

AccessHub project in IBM is one of the key initiatives, it will bring "who has what" data into a single location.

AccessHub is a milestone in online access, security and control for IBMers. The AccessHub initiative, sponsored and directed by the office of the CIO, is being undertaken to help standardize the access management experience for all types of users across the global IBM enterprise. AccessHub is projected to be an enterprise-wide system and will be leveraged by all IBMers.

In context of AccessHub strategy, the global support team is located in 4 strategic geographies (Mexico, Slovakia, India, USA) to provide 24/7 support. We also manage Sev 1 incidents using several tools and integrations, monitoring, maintaining status pages, FAQs, and other documentation useful for clients. In summary, we do our best to provide fast resolution and excellent support to our customers.

We collaborate globally and encourage innovation and automated solutions to simplify and unify the support process while obtaining relevant measurements for continuous improvement.

We work in an Agile environment and in cross functional and cross-geo teams, with expectation to communicate to senior management and application teams and application owners on a regular basis.

The candidate will assist the development team with the necessary aspects of software design and coding, learn the codebase, attend design meetings, write basic code, fix bugs, and assist the team with ticket resolution and testing, as needed.

The following will assist in the journey:

  • Good understanding of Identity & Access Management

  • Ability to drive and deliver e2e task, from requirements to final documentation for the end user, including doing your own QA check

  • Detailed oriented and focused to deliver high quality work

  • Problem-solver

  • Ability to translate requirements and convert an old setup and business process to a new template setup according to AccessHub functionalities

  • Great communication and organizational skills

  • Collaborative approach and ability to share with global team members lessons learned and blockers

  • Ability to act as independent Business analyst as well as to share with global team members lessons learned and blockers

  • Good analytical and reporting skills

  • Time management, ability to estimate the effort and keep the deadline

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 1+ years experience working as a Software Developer

  • Knowledge on Rest API

  • Working knowledge and experience using Java and JavaScript

  • Experience in writing expressions in JSON

  • Experience with any relational databases

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Degree in Computer Science or closely-related field

  • Knowledge about the Saviynt access management platform

  • Project management experience

  • Potential to grow into more technical role

  • Good understanding of Identity & Access Management
