IBM Senior Product Marketing Manager, Business Transformation in New York, New York

Your Role and Responsibilities

Business transformation requires new ways of bringing together data, powerful technologies and the skills of employees. We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to help us develop and execute messaging that brings to life IBM's data and technology transformation value proposition. This person will be the primary daily contact for a part of the business and will serve as a marketing leader and advisor. The Product Marketer will be responsible for understanding the market opportunity, client personas, needs and use cases, competitors, IBM's positioning, IBM offerings / solutions, and developing messaging that drives consideration and preference for IBM technology solutions. Ecosystem partnerships are a key driver of market success. To that end, this person will collaborate with peer for the AWS and Azure businesses to develop differentiated and compelling messaging. The role includes guiding marketing execution with peers in web, events, analyst relations, external communications, social media, and market development and insights. Regular interaction with senior business leadership, service line leaders, and offering leaders is expected. The Senior Product Marketing Manager integrates qualitative and quantitative information to develop marketing plans that lead to positive business outcomes.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Five years of experience in product marketing or related work

  • Experience in technology business: software, services, or consulting including familiarity with data, AI, automation, and cloud

  • Excellent collaboration skills - able to work effectively with multiple teams and levels across business leadership, marketing, offering teams, sales, IBM business units, and countries/regions

  • Demonstrated examples of developing value propositions that increase consideration and preference

  • Good presentation skills and ability to write well

  • Demonstrated ability to use and analyze data to guide marketing plans

  • Ability to assess and integrate multiple data sources to develop point of view or summary of key areas such as marketplace trends, personas, client needs, and competitive positioning

  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders to complete work

  • Growth mindset and can-do attitude - find ways to get things done even when faced with obstacles and constraints

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in process consulting business
