IBM Sailpoint Technical Architect in New York, New York

As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM's clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Sailpoint Technical Architect with hands-on deployment experience to join our IBM CyberSecurity Identity and Access Management team. As part of the IAM team, you would be responsible for supporting our customers with their IAM objectives and helping to meet these goals working within a diverse team and supporting multiple IAM technologies.

Your main duties will include leading, designing and implementing new features and updates with Sailpoint. You will work closely with customers to provide customized solutions, not point solutions or basic product installation. You will be working with our clients to understand their specific business issues while providing solutions. This will include recommending, implementing products and implementing process updates. You will be working with other IBM consultants providing guidance on a systematic approach to solve these within our client's budget and timeframe

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

The successful candidate should posses the following required skills:

  • Experienced with Sailpoint administration, deployment and customization.

  • Comfortable with leading groups and workshops.

  • Able to work independently at times.

  • Experienced with IAM technologies with OIDC, OAuth, SAML, Access Control Policies.

  • Proficient with Ansible Automation with Ansible Roles and Playbooks.

  • Experienced with Java and JavaScript programming, Python Programing.

  • Experienced with Azure and Openshift Cloud environment and Containerized environment with Docker and Kubernetes skills.

  • Proficient with LDAP and Database skills.

  • Experienced with operating system operations on Linux.

  • Able to clearly articulate concepts and ideas clearly to customers.

  • Must be able to work within a team environment.

  • Must be able to travel up to 75%.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • Experienced working with offshore teams.

  • Experienced with ISVA (IBM Security Verify Access) administration, Deployment and Customization.

  • Sailpoint IdentityNow Engineer certification.

  • Working knowledge of Privileged Access Management products such as CyberArk.

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
