IBM Global Deal Security and Solution Leader in New York, New York

As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM’s clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM GBS Security Strategy & Growth (SS&G) is looking for a Global Deal Security and Solution Leader to lead security services design and development. Responsible for leading security offerings and support go-to-market and deal solution management globally.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  1. Manage and advance security offerings and solution to drive business growth

  2. Act as a SME to lead security discussion with clients

  3. Support deal solution strategy, development, pricing and approval processes to drive complete security solutions integrated with GBS deals

  4. Support the continual advancement, and development of security service platform architectures

  5. Lead the security discussion and collaboration with clients and other CSPs and platform vendors.

This person will lead GBS and Security Services integration efforts for cloud security and leverage cloud security capabilities across all GBS Geos. You will work with the Security Business Unit to develop and integrate cloud security service offerings into GBS opportunities. You will bring in new and innovative security approaches and services. This person will leverage security capabilities around data protection, compliance, privacy, trusted access, continuous security, and access management to meet security, quality and compliance objectives. Knowledge and experience in Sec Dev Ops to securely design, build and manage applications is required. You will design security solutions to complement GBS offerings working with GBS SIH process to build solutions that respond to client needs and provide cost effective solutions.

You should be passionate about technologies and trends such as HybridCloud architecture, Cloud security, Edge computing, IoT and advanced technologies Ii.e., Blockchain, AI, automation, intelligent workflows).

In-depth industry experience and domain knowledge is required. You should be able to translate industry/client’s needs into solution and operation design that is built upon IBM technology and best of the breeds vendor capabilities.

This person will report to the IBM GBS SSG team. The Global Deal Strategy and Solution leader will work with various IBM entities including GBS and IBM Security Business Unit and across functional teams such as the Geo Route to Market (RTM) leads, solution engineers, Solution and Innovation Hub, training, marketing and communications teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Detailed experience in security developing solutions that respond to client needs and bring capabilities for cloud transformation

  • In-depth knowledge of current and future cloud technologies and experience integrating with major cloud providers (i.e. AWS, Azure, Google, IBM)

  • Extensive technical sales experience with in-depth experience in technology and solutions

  • At least 10 years experience in cybersecurity and IT environments

  • At least 5 years business development/sales experience with successful win record

  • Strong cybersecurity acumen

  • Security certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA)

  • In-depth experience in global government, public sector and/or commercial consulting

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Cloud certifications, Red Hat, ISACA certifications

  • At least 10 years experience developing security solutions and technical sales

  • At least 5 years experience in cloud security applications
