IBM Deskside Onsite Support Representative - Glen Allen, VA in New York, New York

Your Role and Responsibilities

*This role will be performed on a site in Glen Allen, VA*

Supplemental employment is a classification of temporary personnel employed by IBM for business needs of indeterminate duration, or to obtain special skills needed for a limited period. There are several types of supplemental employment, each with its terms and conditions. Duration of assignments ranges from up to 12 months for short term and 13-36 months for long term.

Are you a person who likesto work with people, is a team player, enjoys customer facing time and a good listener? If so, IBM is looking for a Deskside Onsite Support Representative in the Glen Allen, VA area.

In this role you will coordinate with the Service Desk and all other necessary Service Providers, Third-Parties, Markel support organizations, and IBM towers as directed by IBM's Service Delivery Management teams. Also, you will provide basic troubleshooting, hands, and eyes technical support for Network teams, etc... You will work with Internal IBM, Service Delivery Managers. Service Desk team and Network voice/data team. NO certifications required!

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Windows 7 support

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Microsoft Office (2013, 2016, or 365)

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in WebEx

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in AV Conference rooms technology

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 1 year of experience completing incident tickets and Service Requests in ServiceNow

  • 1 year of experience managing hardware/peripheral inventory
