IBM Data Architect - New York City in New York, New York

Your Role and Responsibilities

This role is located in the IBM office in New York City. There is no remote work option post covid. We are co-located in the office but maintain a responsible consideration of health and safety practices - which includes ongoing support for an in-office/remote office balance during these unusual times.

There are no relocation funds for this role so you would need to relocate at your own expense.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience working on data integration, data analytics, and/or data science projects

  • 3+ years hands on experience using complex methods and algorithms

  • Bring Data Architect, design, and development skill around core elements of a big data / Spark ecosystem

  • Experience in data integration, with ability to design integrated data model based on business requirements and ensuring data integrity

  • Develop data models for database structures & implement data quality techniques

  • Hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries and working with relational databases

  • Self-directed and demonstrable problem solving skills with strong attention to detail and organization

  • Experience working in an Agile environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences, including non-technical audiences

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Degree in Computer Science or closely-related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Demonstrated skill on Cloud-based data platforms

  • Programming experience in one or more languages and data management tools

  • Machine Learning/AI experience

  • Data and visualization tools
