IBM Process Innovation Professional - Record to Report in Naga City, Philippines

Introduction

The Process Innovation Professional has knowledge, experience and expertise across the major business processes they support for their clients. Understands their client's strategy, priorities, operations and broadly leverage this knowledge to advance business process differentiation. These roles are required to handle / understand complex transactions (platform exceptions), develop and implement innovative process initiatives, deploy leading edge solutions which match their client's tactical and strategic requirements, work with IBM development teams on requirements, functions and iterations of leading edge solutions and lead training & quality activities related to those solutions. These professionals require skills in business operations, process management and compliance, industry knowledge and a deep understanding of the process best practices and tools to execute their client's core business processes

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Team Leader works on a rule based decision making and leads transaction processing in the General Ledger area according to the agreed process maps and Desktop Procedures or other guidelines agreed with the client.

  • Leads all process related activities including interactions with customers, client (manages meetings in an effective way, prepares their agendas, issues logs and presentations according to the Governance model) or third party providers.

  • Team Leader is responsible for leading, motivating and managing his/her team of F&A professionals including homeworkers. Organizes and prioritizes team's work and executes it based on its importance and impact. TL commits time and effort to develop talents and capabilities of his employees through coaching and mentoring.

  • Team Leader is focused on business controls associated with overall team and project goals.

  • TL actively assists in audits both internal and external. Cooperates with auditors to make sure that the audit is completed on time.

  • Ensures that journal entries / fixed assets transactions are posted in line with procedure(s) and authorization policy/policies in place and within deadline(s) agreed for the account.

  • Ensures that master data changes are carried out according to the procedure(s) and within deadline(s) agreed for the account.

  • Ensures that accounts' reconciliations are completed with adherence to the policy and other guidelines in place. Pays due attention to the level of detail, completeness and accuracy of information provided and items' thorough classification.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Graduate of Bachelors of Science in Accountancy, CPA(not mandatory)

  • 6 yrs of experience, 5year of relevant(job) area of experience( role offered/interviewed)- General Accounting or Fixed

  • Asset or Intercompany or Balance Reconciliation or VAT or Payroll or Statutory Accounting - depending on role offered

  • Minimum of 1 years BPO/Shared service experience- Managing 3rd party client

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience- managing minimum of 3-5 FTE

  • Understands accounting concepts across General Accounting- with Month End closure Process

  • Preferably knowledgeable in ERP system

  • Willing to work on night shift

  • Proficient in English Language

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Preferably at least 6 years of experience in Record to Report

  • Experience in designing and implementing CI or transformation projects in RTR
