Your Role and Responsibilities

Skills Required:

  • Additional responsibilities as determined by country legislation and standards. some examples:

  • Monitor and evaluate data from trusted sources to inform stakeholders on the impact and management of global health issues and emerging health risks. Liaise with local health authorities, global organizations and internal leadership in developing policies, procedures, and plans that support individual and community well-being.

  • Collect, complete, revise, and analyze health data, preserving sensitive personal information following legal and internal requirements. Interpret the results and identify trends to build insightful reports for the stakeholders. Perform routine and regular reviews of data quality in the reporting system used.

  • Apply public and population health principles (vector-borne diseases, sanitation, food safety, etc.) to minimize risk by evaluating work environments, performing appropriate measurements and evaluations. Use epidemiological principles to understand illnesses and injuries relevant to population served. Advise customer on appropriate actions and work practices. Develop and implement prevention programs, communications tools, testing and control of subsequent exposures (i.e., TB exposure). Evaluate and report program effectiveness on an ongoing basis.

  • Assess and diagnose patients including examinations and referrals to specialists when needed. Advise the individual and if appropriate the management on further actions for preventive measures in the workplace. Manage patient files in line with legal and internal requirements.

  • Supervise nursing staff on executing clinical and occupational health activities within their scope of work and in line with best practices, regulations and company requirements.

  • Maintain liaison with insurance companies and health care providers to ensure completion of all referral related activities. Assist with complaints/concerns and provide feedback to appropriate personnel. Monitor outside relationships with departments, hospitals, treating physicians, and insurance company. Manage documentation and record keeping as well as run routine analysis and provide reports

  • Apply knowledge of OH and evidenced based medicine to develop/implement and manage the program requirements. Document and recommend process changes and maintain necessary material for documentation. Manage outside vendors and internal relationships as they relate to OH programs including business controls, communications, and contract negotiations. Communicate applicable requirements to the organization within their scope of responsibility to maintain compliance. Monitor and assess results

  • Develop and apply knowledge of occupational injury/illness process to assess, document, report and manage program to decrease or eliminate incidents, facilitate appropriate employee entry into the health care system and return to productivity; perform statistical and cost analyze and audit data to understand illnesses and injuries relevant to population served. Validate program effectiveness, cost savings and compliance with government regulations and company policy and practice.

  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree on occupational health (diplomat, specialty or master degree)

  • Has attained professional physician certification

  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • Knowledge of Regional regulations/standards

  • Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, problem solving and judgment skills

  • Ability to express and understand English language.

  • Proactively engaged self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Ability to be an independent problem-solver with minimal supervision

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Country of posting

Preferred Experience:

Ideally 3 years of experience in industry.
