Your Role and Responsibilities

Key soft skills

Ability to articulate the value of IBM's Cloud Platform Portfolio

Ability to understand market dynamics that may impact client’s decisions

Competitive positioning from a technical and economical perspective

Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated written communication skills

Demonstrated organizational skills, discipline, with attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks

Competitive self-starter with a sense of urgency

Objection handling skills

Understand prospect “insiders” and how competition sells to the account

Develop insights from this and from public sources

Stay ahead and on top of all new product features and fixes

Key technical skills

Experience with core enabling technologies:

  • Customer Insights

  • Commercial Payments

  • TCO, ROI analysis

  • Sales Performance Management Solutions

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales and proven results

  • Knowledge of Public Cloud offerings and understanding of the market and competition

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Exceptional negotiation skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Comfortable leading and managing to sprint commitments, managing a backlog and coordinating showcases/playback of results.

  • Ability to THINK – sometimes outside of the box - and to bring solutions to the table.

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales and proven results

  • Knowledge of Public Cloud offerings and understanding of the market and competition
