Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deliver high-quality enterprise web or java-based user interfaces

  • Take a test-driven development approach to write well-tested code

  • Collaborate with design, development, stakeholders, and sponsor users

  • Identify opportunities and add value by removing inefficiencies for the team as well as our customers

As part of the DevOps for Enterprise Systems organization, under IBM z Systems, you will join our mission to transform the enterprise developer experience. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to continued market leadership in the design, development, test and delivery of high quality enterprise software solutions. You will work in an agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our highly valued customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A minimum 3 years experience in developing software applications with Java

  • A minimum 3 years experience with UI technologies: Eclipse, JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React

  • Experience with Windows, Linux development, macOS

  • Experience in debugging and problem determination

  • Experience with agile development practices

  • Experience writing automated test cases

  • Exposure to accessibility testing & threat modelling

  • Knowledge of source control and code management

  • Experience writing customer facing technical documentation

  • Technical curiosity and ability to grasp new concepts quickly through online education

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in z/OS software development

  • Knowledge of COBOL, PL/I, GO, and/or Assembler

  • Experience with RTC, RQM and RCPTT

  • Experience with XML and JSON

Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
