IBM Software Developer Intern (4 or 8 Months) in Markham, Ontario

Your Role and Responsibilities

This position resides in Markham, Ontario and is a 4 or 8 month work term commencing January 2022. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.

The TM1 Server team supports TM1 Server, the core OLAP repository for the IBM TM1 enterprise planning software suite. With TM1, customer can rapidly analyze data, model business requirements and collaborate on plans, budgets and forecasts to uncover hidden business options and optimize performance.

The TM1 Server team supports a number of client applications via a well-established programming interface that is continuously evolving to support new features, scalability, and functionality.

The student will assist in developing TM1 Server API related software tools that are used by the development team to support integration, testing and debugging of the TM1 Server via the various APIs. The student will also assist in supporting these tools via defects resolution.

These tools are critical to TM1 Server to ensure quality development releases to internal consumers during development and investigation if product issues for released product.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum of 2 years of College or University education.

  • Knowledge of operating systems, C/C++, Go, HTTP protocol, Javascript.

  • Testing tools such as POSTMAN, NEWMAN

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3 or 4 year College or University education.

  • Knowledge of Operating Systems, Algorithm and data structure analysis and design, multi-thread programming, C/C++, HTTP, Javascript, Go, Kubernetes, cloud systems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
