IBM Brand Inside Seller Role - Data and AI in Markham, Ontario

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for building deep technical skills in the corresponding iPaaS offering. Prospecting across all of IBM's technology accounts in a given territory is a key requirement for this role. The Inside Sales specialist will be deeply engrained in the iPaaS squad and work closely with DDRs, tech and marketing to accelerate and close opportunities

Digital Sales Specialists have the following responsibilities:

Responsible for converting marker qualified leads to win revenue.

Work with DDRs for effective hand-offs to bring opportunities to closure

-Work with tech reps to help design use case and respond to client POC and RFIs

-Able to have business conversation with C-level executives to outline how our solutions solve business problems

-Proactively contact via outbound calling and digital outreach targeting prospects in support of sales and marketing campaign initiatives.

-Achieve revenue objectives based on territory assignment in conjunction with ecosystems

-Understand customer's buying cycle to be able to effectively forecast likely closure of opportunity

-Qualify prospects, ability to work in a digital setting via video conference and phone meetings

-Professionally communicate with all appropriate levels of decision makers and influencers

-Develop a social presence through your rep page and social media to drive interest and leads.

-Present IBM high-level product value propositions including solutions, features and functions to increase buyer interest using video, phone and web presence

-Collaborate with IBM Marketing and IBM Sales leadership to execute targeted new business campaigns

-Communicate with prospects in a consultative selling environment and create a digital community

-Expertly research companies and contacts via the internet and other sales resources

-Comfortable with live call handling in a digital sales center environment


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

-Sales Experience

-Strong understanding of technical concepts

-Growth Mindset

-Articulate and confident in communication skills

-Top notch communication skills, both written and verbal

-Ability to establish rapport at multiple levels of decision makers

-Skilled in negotiation and problem solving

-Team player

-Excellence presentation skills

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

-4+ years experience in Inside Sales selling software or SaaS technologies

-2+ years experience or knowledge in Agile/ Design Thinking

-Experience using CRM systems to manage customer engagement

-Using data to make decisions and drive business outcomes

-Proven track record of success in digital sales role

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise


Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
