As a Package Consultant at IBM, get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the challenge of designing, developing and re-engineering highly complex application components and integrating software packages using various tools. You will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into our clients' business environment and achieve business results.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Expertise in SAP Payroll Processing
Hands on experience on validation processes through payroll reports during the payroll process
Knowledge of SAP HCM and Payroll transactions
Working knowledge of Payroll Control Center operations of Payroll Administrator
Ability to establish best practice processing practices
Knowledge to validate controls and practices during bi-weekly Pay Processing
Experience with Ad Hoc or Off Cycle Pay Processing
Ability to identify and suggest the improvements in existing processing work instructions
Work with key business users to design, configure, and modify SAP to meet business requirements using industry leading practices.
Create documentation suitable for internal systems control and end users which include functional and technical specifications, BPP’s, and training materials.
Prepare test plans and scripts and perform unit, integration, and regression testing. Coordinate and drive end-user testing.
Assist management in planning future business systems improvements.
Interface with resources from all levels of the organization to obtain business requirements and translate into functional design
Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements
Identify business improvement opportunities (including legislative compliance and reporting requirements), define detail requirements and manage deployment into sustainable functional application solutions in partnership with Stakeholders
Develop, implement and coordinate system controls to ensure system integrity and security of data maintained on the system
Maintain knowledge of development in SAP’s HCM modules and make recommendations on enhancements to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of HCM processes
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor's degree in related field with 5+ years’ experience
5+ years hands-on functional configuration experience: Canadian payroll; SuccessFactors Employee Central ; Integrations between Employee Central, Time and Payroll.
Functional knowledge in ECC 6.0 HCM modules
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to take business requirements from concept to production.
Demonstrated initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement and efficiency
Collaborate with partners effectively; experience working with 3rd party consultant teams.
Experience with business and process modeling methodologies and tools
Working knowledge (end-user) of SAP HR/Payroll including payroll wage types, features, , 3rd party payments, tax reporting, Posting to Finance etc.
Strong knowledge of SAP HR sub-module including Personnel Administration, Organization Management, Benefits Management, Time & Attendance etc.
