Your Role and Responsibilities
Your roles & responsibilities:
As a Technical Consultant intern at IBM, you will help to assist clients in the selection, implementation, and production support of application packaged solutions, such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or SharePoint solution suite, to meet client needs. Leveraging a growth mindset, you're ready and willing to deliver business value, wherever needed. In your role, you may be responsible for:
Assisting clients in selection, implementation, and support of packagesMake strategic recommendations and leverage business knowledge to drive solutions for clients and their management Run or support workshops, meetings, and stakeholder interviewsDevelop process maps to understand As-Is and To-Be scenariosUse IBM's Design Thinking to help solve client's challenges
Work alongside a global community of 6000+ interns and meet other IBMers during networking events, special team events and career development activities
Grow your skills through a combination of education platforms, and receive career guidance from your manager, coach, and mentor to get everything you need to shape the start of your career
Learn about a client's industry, tackle new challenges, and learn about how their business and technology intersect
Participate on a consulting project or initiative and experience first-hand how we help transform our clients business
The recruitment process

You must be an undergraduate and in your second year at university and be required to complete a year in industry as part of your degree.
Once you have applied the team will screen you application, you will follow the below steps, you need to meet the requirements of each staged to pass onto the next
Application form - this will be emailed to you and you will have 2 days to complete and return
Assessment centre. - held virtual and will last half a day
Matching Process - this will be explained during the assessment centre.

University Placements run from June/July/August/September 2024 for 12 months
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Undertaken two years at university, require a year in industry and will then return to university for the final year.
Require a third year in industry as part of your university course
Eligible to working in the UK for the whole placement (UK/Ireland passport/Student visa/Settled or Pre-settled status)
Enthusiastic - you don't need a specific degree background to apply but we do ask you have plenty of energy and passion for the area you are applying for!
