IBM Senior Managing Consultant - Security Risk Quantification in London, United Kingdom

Introduction

As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM's clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Senior Managing Consultant in the IBM EMEA SSRC Practice will be an advisor that can speak to the need and value of security risk quantification and have the ability to communicate effectively with senior members of client management and/or executive teams. The consultant should have a depth of knowledge and experience in conducting risk quantification analyses, ability to lead and run client workshops, preferably have direct hands on knowledge of the RiskLens or similar platforms and capability to mentor other IBMers on both the methodology and platform. Additional security knowledge and experience in risk management, IT Risk, Security Operations, Third Party Risk Management and Data Governance is desired. However, at some level, should be able to speak to the breadth of the security landscape as well.

Core Consulting:

  • Demonstrated communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills

  • The ability to lead large groups and be a primary facilitator

  • Comfortable working in a project based / client serving model

  • Ability to lead and shape client expectations

  • Help drive pursuits and engage in complex deals, matching outcomes to expectations

  • Ability to work easily with diverse and dynamic teams

  • Ability to work in a matrix management model

Security Domain Skills

  • Depth of knowledge in one or more of the core security domains: Risk Quantification, IT Risk, Security Operations, Third Party Risk Management, Data Governance

  • Hands on experience with RiskLens, knowledge of similar and competitive offerings including Normsheild, Risk Recon, RSA Archer.

  • Basic understanding of risk frameworks such as: ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Cloud Security, COSO, ...

The successful consultant will be internal advisor to other IBM consultants and client teams. The consultant will assist in pre-sales, sales, closure, and then organizing the delivery of security consulting services with local teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in management consulting and systems integration

  • Experience working in projects related to the core domain

  • Experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions

  • Experience working with Security practitioners

  • Ability to travel approximately 50%, including international travel

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Preference for candidates with secondary language skills

  • Experience working in international deployment roles

  • Extensive experience in management consulting

  • Experience in working with IT Risk / security consulting teams
