IBM Tivoli/Netcool Monitoring Specialist [Online Recruitment] in KATOWICE, Poland

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Tivoli/Netcool Monitoring Specialist , who would like to become a part of our constantly growing global team.

This team is responsible for administration, customization and maintenance of Tivoli Netcool tools and integration with other systems.

Main responsibilities:

  • Administration and maintenance of Tivoli Tools: Netcool: Omnibus, Impact, Probes

  • Work accordingly with ITIL and Agile methodologies

  • Maintain integration with third-party software: ITSM systems, notification providers, Automation managers.

  • Consulting NOC, colleagues and customer to improve or add needed services and automation.

  • Daily work on incidents, requests

  • Prepare and perform Requests for Change

  • Troubleshoot and solve issues, escalate cases to vendor.

  • Cooperate across teams and countries on projects

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 3 years of professional experience with Netcool Suite tools: OMNIbus, Impact

  • Understanding of IT processes

  • Full working proficiency in the English language

  • Basic Knowledge of Unix environment

  • Good troubleshooting experience (root cause analysis, defect fixing) and ability to provide tools support in BAU

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment. Ability to work independently, take ownership on assigned tasks and deliver on time

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Working knowledge of / Experience with:

  • GSMA framework

  • Shell scripting, perl, python

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Integration of Tivoli tools with third party software

  • The Impact Policy Language (IPL) and JavaScript
