IBM Disaster Recovery Coordinator [Online Recruitment] in KATOWICE, Poland

Your Role and Responsibilities

Currently, we are looking for one of key roles in Integrated Service Management - Disaster Recovery Coordinator . As a Disaster Recovery Coordinator, you will be responsible for preparation and management of tests of our Customer’s applications. In effect, you will be responsible for proving to the Customers that we are able to continuously deliver IT service even in the face of a major crisis. Disaster Recovery Coordinator works closely with technical teams and application owners in order to gather and update procedures for execution of contractually agreed tests. Those procedures are then tested during weekend Disaster Recovery tests (once every 1.5-2 months). After each test, the Disaster Recovery Coordinator provides a report to the management and to the Customer and if needed is responsible for the coordination of corrective actions identified. This role is an opportunity to get a taste of various technologies, cooperate with key people at the account and perform tasks with a high degree of independence.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Two years of experience in an ITIL-based organization

  • English – B2 or higher

  • Basic knowledge of Wintel, Unix, Mainframe, networks

  • Ability to organize and manage tasks independently

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in a Service Management position (preferably: Disaster Recovery / IT Service Continuity)

  • ITIL certification

  • French speaker

  • IT college education
