IBM Cloud Customer Operations Engineer – Linux in KATOWICE, Poland

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for Cloud Customer Operations Engineer – Linux to join our Cloud team.

As IBM builds its strategy around multi-cloud, MCMP (Multi Cloud Management Platform) is one of the critical offerings in IBMs portfolio

You will be the technical resource and contact person interacting with clients, vendors, and senior management, to identify and resolve complex technical problems. If solving problems and helping others succeed excites you, let us talk!

Main duties and responsibilities: As a CusOps Engineer, You will…

  • support of QA being able to verify if an application is operational

  • perform spark tests (validate if the application is fully operational)

  • Reporting on a team meeting

  • reviewing and working with tickets (Jira, snow)

  • Implementation of Application changes provided by QA tested on all environments tracked with changes by SM

  • 24/7 Application operation support

  • Supports the team goals of continuous build, continuous deployment, and constant feedback.

  • Works with developers to instrument production applications with appropriate monitoring and logging

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Linux experience

  • Communicative English

  • Experience with application support on Linux

  • Network and network configuration skills

  • Experience in working in an Agile/DevOps environment with continuous integration and continuous deployment and application lifecycle management

  • Team player

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Red Hat certificates,

  • Previous experience with Administrations of Linux systems or Applications

  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes will be an advantage

  • Cloud solutions like Vmware, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud will be beneficial
