Your Role and Responsibilities
The mission of the General Procurement focalrole is to support TSS’s US Service Delivery team by processing all General procurement requests with the exception of MVS Contract Purchase Orders which is handled by TSS Vendor Management team. TSS Service Office personnel, region personnel and/or TSS personnel will contact the General Procurement focal who will then follow the detailed General Procurement process with minimal assistance from the Region, Service Office and/or TSS management team. The GP focal will follow the set business controls guidelines unless directed otherwise by TSS General Manager under quarterly spending restriction guidelines.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
-Have the ability to use system applications shown under Tools/Applications after training.--Must be able to develop relationships with key personnel within TSS Service Delivery Field SSRs and management staff and outside of TSS. Must be able to listen to customers needs and respond with urgency and professionalism to provide quality results that exceed customer expectations.Communications:-Ability to interface with TSS peers, TSS Service Delivery Field, SSRs and Management Staff, and all levels of management and all support personnel from organizations outside of TSS (i.e. Procurement Help Desk, Suppliers, etc.)-Lotus Notes is the main communications vehicle for this desk procedure. Other communication applications are used as needed (i.e. CAD, etc.)
