Your Role and Responsibilities
As an IBM Cloud Technical leader - IaaS, the candidate will represent IBM as a technical sales consultant to our clients and as a technical sales leader for IBM sales teams.
The successful candidate will provide innovative design solutions leveraging IBM Public cloud's IaaS capabilities such as Bare Metal Servers, Virtual Servers, VMware vCenter, VPC, Power, networking and security capabilities and associated cloud services to meet the complex set of client requirements. Works with the IBM sales team to help guide clients through their cloud and cognitive strategy and adoption journey.
Works with the IBM geo sales/technical team to help guide clients through adopting and migrating client workloads to IBM Cloud and their cloud journey
Deliver pre-sales briefings, solution workshops, product demonstrations, technical education, and support proofs of concept exercises while articulating the business value for our Public Cloud solutions.
Understands IBM Cloud's point of view for enterprise capability needs, the completive landscape, market trends, and effectively position IBM's Cloud's unique value proposition.
Develop re-usable industry-specific assets, architecture patterns, briefing materials and product demonstrations.
Collaborates with other internal IBM teams and stakeholders to drive unmatched customer satisfaction and client adoption
Develop, nurture, and maintain deep technical account relationships with client stakeholder and leaders.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the specific industry characteristics, business challenges, market trends and business processes (i.e., Financial Services, Insurance sector, Telecom, Healthcare or Retail to name a few).
Collaborates with IBM sales teams to define, architect, size and deliver the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed client solutions.
Understand client workloads and requirements, document gaps in delivering those needs and work with offering to explain the gaps and help prioritize them
Perform periodic review of geo pipeline, identify what's working in the field, what is not working in the field and provide recommendations to increase adoption
Understand competitor landscape in each region and how to effectively compete
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Expertise on cloud infrastructure technologies and solutioning (Virtual private cloud, local and global load balancer as a service, object storage, block storage, cloud network connectivity, encryption technologies etc) and related service
Experience in solutioning VMWARE implementations (VCF/VCS, NSX, VSAN) and its ecosystem
Knowledge in solutioning Power implementations
Experience in solutioning Linux and Windows OS systems using Cloud technologies
Knowledge of networking protocols and connectivity patterns
5+ years hands-on experience with deploying/migrating workloads to cloud that includes sizing and architectural expertise for on-prem as well as public cloud with ability to optimize cloud sizing using its elasticity and flexibility and at least one successful migration experience from on-prem to cloud environment
Hands on experience deploying solutions on Cloud infrastructure. VMWARE and Power is key
Experience working with business teams to translate business goals into reliable technical solutions and advising business teams on optimal technological strategies to achieve business results.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record of building consensus across diverse groups of stakeholders.
Tackle challenges with a solutions-oriented, systems thinking approach.
Ability to drive progress independently as well as problem solve collaboratively.

Experience working with application workloads and capability needs
Industry expertise - FSS, Insurance, Health care, Media etc
Infrastructure support experience (Infrastructure management, problem solving, SDLC process, solving real time production system issues etc.)
Deep knowledge and experience with Terraform/Ansible/Chef/Puppet and automating infrastructure in a cloud environment
Working with DEVOPS teams
Implementing infrastructure and application security
Kubernetes, OpenShift, Microservices, API's, automation.
Cloud based database as a service
