IBM Ecosystem Engagement/Product Manager in Durham, North Carolina

Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Ecosystem engagement manager for research offerings, you will operate at the intersection of cutting-edge research and real-world impact. Drawing from the best-of-the-best in our global portfolio, you will focus on making research capabilities accessible to strategic ecosystem partners and opening up a channel for exponential growth in the adoption of IBM research offerings.

You will collaborate with talented offering managers, designers, clients, and innovation strategists to bring offerings into various channel partnerships. We want to bring out the best in you and expect you to do the same for your team. Your proactive approach to creative offering structure and Goto market strategies will be essential to the success of our team.

You may also be responsible for developing, documenting, deploying, and maintaining offerings. This requires product management skills to provide scalable, high available, and market differentiated offerings. You will collaborate with IBM Ecosystems teams, GSI Labs, ISV teams to take offerings to market and for scale-out in the most effective manner.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assimilate information about a portfolio of existing and in-process pre-commercial client offerings.

  • Understand the market requirements for such offerings and where such demands reside within the IBM ecosystem partners.

  • Develop research contracts to target such ecosystem partnerships

  • Enable frictionless methods for deployment of assets to Ecosystem partners.

  • Identify and develop enterprise use-cases that could leverage one or more of these offerings and develop industry narratives using story-telling as told through collateral, whitepapers, and media presentations.

  • Install and deploy these pre-commercial offerings and develop it into a demonstration that could be exhibited to a client relevant to one of the industry use-cases above using publicly available data

  • Determine pricing, marketing communication strategy, identify routes to market, and be responsible for enabling the channels on new and existing offerings.

  • Act as an entrepreneur, strategist, cross-functional team leader, and client advocate.

  • Document key lessons learned, developments, and recommendations for future work.

  • You may also Interact and assist researchers to progress their offering on issues related to export control, certificates of originality, patents, copyrights, contract compliance, technical readiness, client readiness, collateral.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years relevant experience as described above.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience working with system integrators and ISVs.

  • Experience /expertise working with entities such as GSIs, GSI labs, and IBM consulting.

  • Strong technical skills.

  • Experience handling complex contracts to deal closure.

  • Experience with SaaS delivery models.
