IBM Senior Fraud Analyst in DALLAS, Texas

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Cloud Trust Enablement team works diligently to make IBM Cloud a safe place for our customers to manage their business. We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, hardworking, analytical candidate with a proven track record for precise decision making and performance to join our team.

This position relies on excellent judgement, the ability to recognize obvious and non-obvious patterns, the ability to analyze large data sets, and work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision of the Manager.


  • Ensure accounts are valid, created for legitimate business reasons, and do not pose a risk to the reputation of IBM without compromising on customer experience or financial losses.

  • Evaluate accounts to detect and investigate suspicious or malicious activity.

  • Work as a point of escalation for Fraud Analyst to ensure appropriate action.

  • Contact and work with customers to resolve risk/concerns with transactions and/or account.

  • Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of highly manual processes through automation.

  • Manual ID review.

  • Identify fraud trends and take appropriate action.

  • Analyze rule performance trends.

  • Report on Daily fraud trends.

  • Proactively reviews rejected transactions to ensure false positives are eliminated or significantly reduced.

  • Take on ad hoc projects/assignments related fraud investigations/escalations as needed.

  • Execution of strategy recommendations for intelligence/data driven complex fraud investigations.


  • Ability to work in multiple applications simultaneously.

  • Ability to prioritize work and manage time in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of best practices in fraud detection and risk management.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to perform deep investigations on sensitive and complex escalations for internal stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and oral communication.

  • Ability to work effectively in a high volume, multi-task environment.

  • Superior interpersonal relationship skills.

  • Effective analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Advanced research skills including experience with online search tools.

  • Proficient knowledge of PC/Internet including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Minimum four years of experience in Cyber Crime, Abuse, Security, Fraud, Financial Crimes, or Financial Risk Management.
