Your Role and Responsibilities
The Life Sciences sales team at IBM Watson Health works with health economics, real world evidence, clinical development, brand and commercial teams to support product launch strategy, product valuation and market access. You will be selling and growing the market for an industry-leading suite of data (claims and EHR), services (consulting and outcomes research), and analytical tools (software as a service) to support top-tier life sciences companies.
Responsible for selling to a territory of small and mid-size life sciences companies, identifying and cultivating new relationships in these companies and growing IBM’s footprint in assigned accounts.
Support lead generation and drive revenue growth in established, top-tier pharmaceutical accounts, working closely with our Elite Sales team.
Source, qualify and lead the successful closure of sales cycles across all owned products in your territory, working with cross-functional teams at IBM to define and deliver the optimal solution for your clients.
Drive the successful adoption of new and innovative IBM products in your territory.
This position is ideal for an aggressive Sales Executive looking to grow their career selling marquee products to the Life Sciences industry. In addition to sharpening your individual contributor sales capabilities within a mid-market territory, you will gain strong exposure and impact in the top-tier accounts and be positioned for fast-track promotions in our sales structure.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
2+ years of sales experience
Exceptional outreach and cold-calling acumen
Experience with contract negotiations
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to work independently
Experience with consultative sales
