IBM Industry Client Representative (West Coast Area) in Dallas, Texas

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Industry Client Representative is a sales specialist responsible for working with prospective customers to improve their infrastructure and operating platforms. This is accomplished by consultations and sales of IBM offerings and/or other multi-vendor technologies (hardware, software, support services, and industry solutions) directly to customers.

  • Maintain in-depth skills in IBM and multi-vendor specialty offerings

  • Assigned to specialty specific opportunities or territories where you utilize your sales and technical expertise to conduct all phases of the product and services sales cycle

  • Responsible for closing the sale and winning the customer's satisfaction with the engagement and the offerings including influencing the functional strategy

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

-Bachelor’s Degree

  • Comfortable cold calling

-Strong Negotiation Skills

-Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Power Point, Word, Excel)

-Knowledge of Financial Services Market

-Strong written and verbal communications

-Demonstrated Deal Progression Management

-Strong field skills (comfortable with hunting/generating new vendor systems support business)

-Prior experience selling software, hardware, and technical support services as full scope solution to a customer’s ongoing infrastructure and systems journey

-A consultative approach to formulating solutions for new customers using IBM or other vendor products, with a long-term sales focus

-Ability to travel 50% of the time

-Must live in the West Coast area ie: Seattle, LA, Denver

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

-Knowledge of IBM’s technical support services are a plus
