IBM SAP Group Reporting (GR) Lead Consultant - TruQua in Chicago, Illinois

Introduction

As a Package Consultant at IBM, get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the challenge of designing, developing and re-engineering highly complex application components and integrating software packages using various tools. You will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into our clients' business environment and achieve business results.

Your Role and Responsibilities

SAP Group Reporting (GR) is one of the fastest growing SAP offerings on the market, as well as the new Consolidation offering of the 'future.' This is an exciting new growth area at IBM/TruQua where Smart/Driven/Nice consultants will bring an entrepreneur mindset to help our customers on their innovation and digital transformation journey.

The role will involve deployment of modern SAP Financial offerings, requiring both functional and technical expertise to develop GR solutions and best address our customers' needs.

In this role, the GR Consultant will work directly with customers for hands-on delivery. This position requires the ability to work and communicate as a part of a high-performance consulting team in a fast pace environment. The candidate must have a keen understanding of and hands-on experience with SAP SEM-BCS, EC-CS, FI-LC, as well as ECC, BI and a solid accounting and finance background.

Your job duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform initial setup, prototype, configuration, and perform testing accordingly to support the design sessions and to fulfill the customer's business requirements

  • Support the Business Process and Solution Architecture design sessions; Create functional specifications for development requirements

  • Design and document the required configurations for the GR solution per the blueprint, including documenting test results, and support go-live efforts

  • Recommend best practices for configuring GR considering the overall architecture to achieve integration, high performance and stability

  • Work closely with end users to design the proper Consolidation and GR solution(s) to support defined business processes and business requirements

  • Actively participate in training and knowledge transfer sessions to enable end users to understand SAP BPC and Consolidation

  • Work with customers' teams of business analysts to provide business application support for all of the company's financial management systems and related applications

  • Provide support for applicants to include problem identification, reporting, tracking analysis and resolution

  • Provide continuous feedback on project status and offer constructive options to ensure project continues to meet original expectations

  • Continuously demonstrate and deliver strong and highly professional customer service commitment

  • Utilize technical and industry knowledge to identify complex client issues and build long-term business relationships with key executives through engagement delivery, as well as networking in professional organizations

  • Ability to work as a visualization expert to implement the best visualization stories for customer's business KPI's

  • Develop and document enterprise knowledge in the form of technical articles, and best practices

  • Provide continuous feedback on project status and offer constructive options to ensure project continues to meet original expectations

  • Continuously demonstrate and deliver strong and highly professional customer service commitment

  • Utilize technical and industry knowledge to identify complex client issues and build long-term business relationships with key executives through engagement delivery, as well as networking in professional organizations

  • Contribute thought leadership to the development and growth of our TruQua brand and intellectual capital by, among others: Publishing articles, white papers, and/or speaking at select domestic and/or global SAP conferences

  • Manage and provide leadership to entry level consultants and become actively involved in team development and practice management

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $105,000 to $208,000 and is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP SEM-BCS, EC-CS, FI-LC, as well as ECC, BI and a solid accounting and finance background

  • 5-10 years of experience in or exposure to SAP Finance modules (FI-CO, CO-PA) a plus

  • 5-10 years of strong techno-functional knowledge of/experience in SAP BPC Consolidation. Preferably minimum of one full cycle SAP BPC Consolidation implementation

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP modules SEM-BCS and overall BW

  • 5+ years of solid knowledge and preferably hands-on experience in Consolidation and Group Reporting

  • 5-10 years of IFRS knowledge

  • 5-10 years of Experience in Data Modelling / Design

  • 5-10 years of experience in Report Design / Creation / Model Wizard, Adjustment system

  • 5-10 years of Experience in Standard Planning Functionalities (simple projections, dynamic hierarchies, changing granularities)

  • 5-10 years of Experience in flexible assumptions, modelling and input allocations (e.g. cost allocations of infrastructure functions to divisions)

  • 5-10 years of Experience in instant reporting (incl. drill downs, dynamic change / add of reports by users, mobile interface on reports)

  • 5-10 years of Knowledge of workflow / audit trail.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • In addition to a strong business and analytics background, the position requires strong problem-solving, analytical abilities and consulting skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of business and in a global and regional team environment

  • The ideal candidate needs to be both hands-on/customer facing for delivery, as well as adept at selling/pre-sales to lead and help us grow this new practice at TruQua with a leadership approach to his/her role.

  • Ability to anticipate, address and resolve customer concerns and issues

  • Ability to break complex issues into simple project steps and problem-solve

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or other relevant Master's degree from an accredited college/university is a plus

  • Demonstrated track record of leadership, client management, and delivery

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Articulate with impeccable verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong & discerning listener

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Thirst for knowledge and eagerness to learn and grow skills in new areas
