IBM Domain Sales Executive - Financial Crimes Insight in Chicago, Illinois

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Sales team within IBM RegTech is looking for a results-driven sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. The individual in this role would be responsible for selling IBM software products and solutions to customers specifically in the Payments/Financial Crimes space within North America. This includes understanding clients' needs and providing complete and appropriate solutions in order to contribute to their success but also boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability for IBM. Key to this role is having solid knowledge of the Payments industry, Financial Crimes and previous experience in the financial services sector with deep knowledge in one or both of the following domains: Payments and Payment Fraud. Experience in payments systems, compliance technology and Artificial Intelligence is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective Line of Business as well as IT customers

  • Assist clients in their Payments modernization and digital transformation efforts incorporating Artificial Intelligence, cloud and process automation utilizing IBM solutions to ensure payment systems resiliency, integrity and security.

  • Guide prospective customers in the development of their vision for Financial Crimes within their organizations and on how IBM solutions can contribute to their success

  • Help clients crystalize the business, process, and regulatory benefits driven by IBM technology

  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships to ensure future sales and reference-ability

  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling

  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction

  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule

  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments; Readiness to travel 50% travel annually

  • Analyze the territory/ market's potential, track sales and status reports

  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services

  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends

  • Continuously improve through feedback

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of software sales experience, preferably in Financial Crimes and/or Payment systems.

  • At least 5 years' industry experience in Financial Services, Payments Fraud and/or Financial Crimes

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the evolving Payments landscape, including the emergence of immediate/real-time payments and the move to Cloud and as-a-Service delivery models.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Financial Crimes market and Payment Fraud

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Crimes technology and the application of Artificial Intelligence to the domain

  • Familiarity with the Payments processing, clearing and settlement process and the ISO 20022 payments messaging standard.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of or experience working with non-IBM Industry solution providers

  • Past experience and ability to demo solutions

  • Relevant credentials, e.g., CFE, CAFP
