Your Role and Responsibilities

As a member of the Team, you provide technical support to clients of our IaaS and PaaS based offerings and services.
Your responsibilities include:
Interact with customers of various technical levels and with various problem severities, and also communicate relevant information back and forth with escalation support teams as well as software development
Investigate and resolve issues reported by our customers to their satisfaction
Collaborate actively within and across teams to seek and provide assistance
Document your work to the required level of details
Continuously learn and improve your skills in areas relevant to your work
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Ability to work independently, while maintaining an extremely strong sense of responsibility and commitment to teamwork
Working directly with customers
Good written and oral communication skills in English
Good knowledge in troubleshooting complex technical issues in a structured way
Good knowledge and/or some experience with some of the team specific technology subjects listed below
Knowledge of basic networking and network troubleshooting
Understanding of Computer Hardware systems
Basic Experience with operating systems (Linux, Windows) administration and troubleshooting. Basic Experience with the following technologies: Networking, Gateways, Firewalls, SSL certificates, VPN/OpenVPN, 2 factor Authentication, Network Protocols, TCP/IP, SSL, IPSEC, VLAN Tagging/Trunking
Basic Knowledge of container & orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Basic Knowledge of Cloud Foundry, Cloud command-line and Runtimes (Node.js, ASP.NET, ...)
Basic Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2) no NoSQL (MongoDB, Cloudant) database systems. Knowledge with reading and manipulating JSON.
