IBM Senior Security Specialist in Chantilly, Virginia

Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM has an immediate requirement for a Senior Security Specialist to support both DoD and Intelligence community customers. The primary location for this position will be in Chantilly, Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping coordinate security integration efforts of recent acquisitions. Development and implementation of standardized security plans supporting SCIF and DoD facility operations across all of IBM and their US cleared subsidiaries. This position will help support subsidiary and IBM FSO's and CSSO's with preparing for annual security inspections, guiding and training IBM/subsidiary employees on security policies and procedures governing facilities and contracts, and helping manage and administer all aspects of industrial security programs in compliance with the 32 CFR, Part 117 (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's) and other applicable government security policies and procedures.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Security

  • 5+ years of experience with working in SCI programs

  • US Citizenship/TS/SCI w/polygraph required.

  • Bachelors or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience writing Standard Operating Procedure Manuals

  • Ability to analyze complex data and make appropriate program security recommendations.

  • Knowledge of multiple security functional areas

  • Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Working knowledge of security software programs and US gov't security databases

  • In depth knowledge of building, accrediting, and managing SCIF's across various government agencies (Fixed Facility Checklists, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of business structures in the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
